After working on and off in the building for a year and a half, I am personally quite happy to announce that Old Town’s finest, Backspace, is planning to set up a makeshift coffee shop in the lobby of the Leftbank. This is on the heels of a great run through T:BA:08 as the cafe of choice at THE WORKS. It’s a perfect marriage really, with their unique knack for community, art, and fabulous, fabulous Stumptown Coffee. Off the bat, they’ll also offer some fine baked goods from Portland’s Pearl and Black Sheep bakeries, and a nice variety of teas, juices and other tasty drinks. Oh, and of course, Voodoo Doughnuts.
So, neighbors, commuters and coming tenants rejoice! A few weeks from now, a new spot to gather and be nourished will emerge… stay tuned for more updates soon!
